After an embarrassing loss that had the sky falling in New England, the Patriots responded with a stunning upset on the road in Sunday, with a spectacular late TD catch from Efton Chism sealing a huge win over the Bills, 29-26.
Drake Maye was much improved on Sunday, going 21 of 35 for 257 yards passing and three touchdowns in a performance that looked much more like his 2025 self.
The Patriots got rolling early, with Maye shining through a 97-yard drive in which he accounted for 92 of those yards with either his arm or his legs. New England opened the scoring on a 14-yard connection from Maye to Romeo Doubs to make it 7-0 in the first quarter.
The Bills responded on the following drive, chewing up nearly eight minutes of clock on a 13-play, 62-yard drive capped off by an 8-yard rush from James Cook.
