Draft guideline value put up in government offices for public viewing

The Tiruchi district administration has published draft guideline values for properties to rectify valuation anomalies. Citizens are invited to submit objections or remarks to the valuation sub-committee within 15 days.
Why it matters
Guideline values directly impact property taxes and stamp duty costs for citizens, making transparency in the revision process essential for public trust.
The revenue village-wise draft guideline values have been put up in taluk offices, sub-registrar offices, and other important government offices in the district for public viewing.
The draft guideline values to rectify anomalies have been prepared and notified under Section 4 (2) of the Tamil Nadu Stamp (Constitution of Valuation Committee for Estimation, Publication and Revision of Market Value Guidelines of Properties) Rules, 2010, Collector Pratik Tayal said in a press release.
