Dr Reddy’s, Takeda Partner To Distribute First Approved Dengue Vaccine In India

Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories and Takeda Pharmaceutical Company have entered into an exclusive distribution agreement to promote and distribute Takeda’s QDENGA dengue vaccine across India’s private market for pediatric and adult vaccination, with availability expected in the first half of 2027, subject to regulatory processes. The vaccine received marketing authorisation from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) in July 2026 for people aged 4-60 years, making it the first dengue vaccine approved in India.
Under the agreement, Dr. Reddy’s will handle promotion and distribution in the private market, while Takeda will retain rights for the public market along with overall medical and brand oversight. The companies will also undertake healthcare-professional engagement and disease-awareness activities related to dengue vaccination.
