P opular health advocate and medical practitioner Dr. Ademola Tosin Ojo, has called for increased awareness, early detection, and regular medical check-ups as important measures in reducing the burden of breast cancer in society.

Dr. Ojo, popularly known as DATO, made the call during this week’s health talk programme on African Portal Radio/TV, hosted by Dare Olusan.

Speaking on breast cancer awareness, the medical practitioner stressed the importance of recognising the early warning signs of the disease and seeking medical attention promptly whenever unusual changes are noticed.

He highlighted key areas of concern for members of the public, including understanding the early symptoms of breast cancer, knowing when to consult a medical professional, and embracing recommended screening procedures.

Dr. Ojo also emphasised the need for women to understand the importance of regular breast examinations and appropriate screening, including mammograms when medically recommended.
