Dr. NTRUHS V-C announces strict penalties for exam malpractice
Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences has announced strict disciplinary measures, including potential debarment, for students caught cheating in exams. The university also plans to hold affiliated colleges financially and administratively accountable for malpractice.

Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (Dr. NTRUHS) Vice-Chancellor P. Chandrasekhar on Tuesday (July 28, 2026) convened a meeting with the principals of nursing colleges, where copying was reported during the B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) examinations held in June.
Taking a serious note of the incident, Mr. Chandrasekhar and Registrar T. Sai Sudheer said any student found guilty of malpractice in future examinations will face stringent disciplinary action, including debarment from examinations.
They stated that colleges will also be held accountable for such incidents. Financial penalties and other disciplinary action will be initiated against institutions where examination malpractice is found, they added.
Later, they emphasised the need to enhance the standards of nursing education and outlined a series of measures aimed at strengthening the quality of B.Sc. Nursing education across all affiliated institutions.
