DPR ready for Hyderabad Ring Rail north section, south alignment in final stage: Kishan Reddy
Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy announced that the LiDAR survey for Hyderabad's Regional Ring Rail project is complete, with the northern section's report submitted. Additionally, he reviewed the redevelopment progress of Vikarabad railway station under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

Union Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy said that the LiDAR survey for the proposed Regional Ring Rail (RRR) project around Hyderabad has been completed and the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the northern section has been submitted. The alignment for the southern section is currently being finalised.
Speaking to mediapersons at the Vikarabad railway station on Sunday, the Minister said the Final Location Survey (FLS) for the rail corridor proposed along the outer periphery of the Regional Ring Road (RRR) was sanctioned in 2023 for a stretch of about 400 km.
Mr. Kishan Reddy was reviewing redevelopment works being undertaken at Vikarabad railway station under the Centre’s Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The ₹24.35-crore project includes construction of a 12-metre-wide foot overbridge, station building upgrades, platform improvements, escalators, better parking facilities and an enhanced circulating area aimed at improving passenger convenience and accessibility.
