Downtown Winnipeg restaurant burns for 3rd time since last fall
A downtown Winnipeg restaurant, Boujee, has been destroyed by fire for the third time since last autumn, leading to an emergency demolition. The owners, who invested millions, are now facing significant financial losses and are discouraged by the impact of local crime on small businesses.

"We are really sad about it because our plan was to open the restaurant again," he said.
"But with the constant, you know, break-ins and all that, now I think that dream is completely shattered."
The building was also hit by suspected arson last fall and was on fire again last Sunday night.
Fire crews responded to the now-vacant Boujee Restaurant and Bar at 191 Main St. just before 6 a.m. on Saturday, the city said in a release.
Firefighters found heavy smoke coming from the building when they arrived. They used aerial ladders to spray water onto the fire from above the blaze. The city said there would be an emergency demolition to make sure the fire is completely out.
