THERE’S NO DENYING it any longer. Back-to-school time is upon us, and whether you’re a parent who is counting the hours down to your child’s return to the classroom, or you’re a bit like me with your head in the sand, the next week is going to be all about checking things off that list.
One thing I don’t have to worry about, however, is getting a new school uniform for my two children. Having had experience of both uniform and non-uniform schools, I can tell you that being free from the itchy, expensive, constricting set of identical clothing five days a week has been a revelation, and it’s one I wish more schools would cotton on to.
