Down 17%, Is Meta a Buy on the Dip?

Meta Platforms stock has declined 17% recently due to investor concerns regarding high spending on AI infrastructure. Despite this, the company continues to see earnings growth driven by its core social media advertising business.
Why it matters
The market's reaction to Meta's spending reflects broader investor anxiety about the profitability and sustainability of the current AI investment boom.
Meta Platforms ( META -0.96% ) is one of the major players in this artificial intelligence (AI) revolution. Meta has spent billions of dollars on the build-out of its own data centers and just recently took a significant step toward the monetization of its investments -- the launch of its Muse personal AI agent and its Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full advanced models.
