Donald Trump Compliments Sen Candidate's 'Big, Strong Build'

At a Georgia rally, Donald Trump praised Republican Senate candidate Mike Collins for his physical appearance while disparaging his opponent, Senator John Ossoff. The comments reflect Trump's characteristic rhetorical style during campaign events.
Why it matters
The rhetoric highlights the personal nature of the Georgia Senate race and Trump's continued influence on candidate branding.
President Donald Trump kicked off his rally in Dalton, GA, on Friday by discussing several of the male candidates' looks, including "big, strong" Rep. Mike Collins (R-GA), who's running for Senate against incumbent Sen. John Ossoff (D-GA). As expected, Trump wasn't too enamored of Ossoff's physique, which he made fun of in Trumpian name-calling style. "Eighteen days from now, the people of Georgia are going to defeat your weak, arrogant, radical left senator, who is really — I call him Pee-Wee Herman!" Trump said. "Somebody said he's a good-looking man. I don't think he's a good-looking man," Trump said with an air of authority. "I actually think Mike Collins is a good-looking man, and he's all man. All man. I'm not sure about Ossoff."
