MADURANTAKAM: Setting the stage for a high-decibel poll battle in Madurantakam, Tamil Nadu chief minister and TVK chief C Joseph Vijay launched a blistering attack on the opposition DMK, stating the upcoming byelection as a direct fight between his party and the "evil force" (thiya sakthi) of the Dravidian politics.Vijay delivered a sharp warning aimed at DMK president M K Stalin and his party leadership saying, "Don't touch this Vijay, and don't touch this TVK—you will severely regret it."Addressing a massive gathering after a grand reception in the assembly constituency, Vijay accused the DMK of resorting to abusive language out of desperation. Drawing parallels to past political rivalries, he noted AIADMK leaders M G Ramachandran and J Jayalalithaa had identified the DMK as a primary political enemy.
