After seeing Sandler help produce Netflix vehicles for David Spade , Adam Devine, Amy Schumer, and Chris Rock, the notion that he would also help launch his daughter, Sunny Sandler, as a star seemed like the peak of indulgence. Although the younger Sandler starred in two previous Netflix comedies with You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah and Roommates , this year’s Don’t Say Good Luck is a Happy Madison production in name only, where the heartfelt family dramedy takes potentially saccharine material and turns it into something profound.
