Don’t pay for private internet service to govt offices from Sept 1, provide T-Fiber: Telangana IT Minister
Telangana's IT Minister has directed government offices to switch exclusively to T-Fiber internet services by September 1, 2026. Payments to private internet service providers will be discontinued as part of the state's 'Internet to every home' initiative.

This move represents a significant shift toward state-owned digital infrastructure and away from private sector reliance for government operations.
From September 1, 2026, Telangana government would not make payments for internet service provided by private operators to government offices. IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu directed officials to ensure all of the offices receive internet services exclusively through T-Fiber.
Besides, instructions were issued to accelerate implementation of the State’s flagship ‘Internet to every home’ initiative.
