Two dogs saved a woman from a boy who molested and allegedly tried to sexually assault her near Thudiyalur in Coimbatore in the early hours of Thursday (September 3).
A surveillance camera footage of the two dogs barking and chasing the boy was widely circulated on social media.
The police said the incident occurred around 2 a.m. on the service road of a road over bridge (across a railway track) near N.G.G.O. Colony at Thudiyalur. A woman, aged about 30, is a resident of the locality and, according to police, suffered from a mild developmental disorder.
She was sitting on the roadside when the boy, aged 16, from the same locality approached her. The two dogs, which reportedly belonged to her family, were also on the street.
