NEW YORK – A marquee matchup between two of baseball’s most recognizable franchises had to wait for another day. Saturday’s game between the Dodgers and Yankees was rescheduled due to a forecast of sustained inclement weather at Yankee Stadium.
The clubs will make up the game as the opener of a split-admission doubleheader on Sunday, with first pitch scheduled for 12:35 p.m. ET.
The Yankees' Cam Schlittler will start the opener against the Dodgers' Yoshinobu Yamamoto. The teams have not announced their Game 2 starters. New York's Ryan Weathers and Los Angeles' Emmet Sheehan had been scheduled to pitch Saturday.
