Document writers protest against alleged privatisation of registration services

Document writers across the State staged protest at several places on Tuesday, despite Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s clarification regarding the alleged privatisation of citizen-related services in the Registration department. In Kadapa district, document writers sat in protest at the Sub Registrar’s office located near old bus stand in Proddatur, announcing that they would not extend their services until the end of the month.
YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) State spokesperson and former MLA Rachamallu Sivaprasad Reddy reached the spot, sat alongside the agitating document writers, and extended solidarity on behalf of his party to their cause. He flayed the State government for allegedly privatising every available service, seeking to benefit TDP cadre and leaders.
