The "Doctor Who" star, 50, is facing two counts of sexual assault, three counts of voyeurism and one count of exposure for alleged incidents involving five women between 2007 and 2016, the Crown Prosecution Service announced in a statement Wednesday, Sept. 9.
"Our prosecutors have worked to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring this case to court and that it is in the public interest to do so," Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor for CPS London Bethan David said.
London’s Metropolitan Police Service revealed in a separate statement that Clarke was arrested in September 2025 when the investigation began, and CPS authorized the charges after being presented with "a file of evidence." David also noted the two agencies "have worked closely" throughout the process.
