The Apostolic Nuncio in Namibia has urged the newly Consecrated Bishop of the Apostolic Vicariate of Rundu not to fear the challenges and limitations that accompany Episcopal ministry, reminding him that authentic shepherds draw their strength from Christ rather than from themselves.
In his homily during the Episcopal Ordination of Mons. Linus Ngenomesho on Saturday, July 18, Archbishop Henryk Mieczysław Jagodziński emphasized that the Church needs Bishops who humbly acknowledge their human frailty while relying on God's grace.
“There will be moments of tiredness and uncertainty, difficult decisions and misunderstandings. Do not be afraid of your weakness,” Archbishop Jagodziński said, and added, “The Church does not need Bishops who pretend to be invulnerable. She needs shepherds who know that their strength comes from Christ.”
