DMK stages State-wide demonstrations condemning Vijay’s remarks against Stalin

The DMK on Saturday staged demonstrations across Tamil Nadu, condemning the remarks made by Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay in the Assembly against former Chief Minister M.K. Stalin. Speaking on Monday during the debate on the Demand for Grants for the Police Department, Mr. Vijay made certain remarks regarding Mr. Stalin’s arrest under the MISA. Condemning his remarks, the DMK staged protests in district headquarters across Tamil Nadu on Saturday. In Chennai, the demonstration was held in two locations. While former Union Minister A. Raja addressed the gathering at a protest led by the party’s south district secretary Ma. Subramanian in Saidapet, another protest was held near the Collectorate, led by the party’s organising secretary R.S. Bharathi, with Chennai Mayor R. Priya and others participating. Speaking at the Saidapet demonstration, Mr. Raja sharply condemned Mr. Vijay for his remarks. Certain remarks made by Mr.
