Former Chief Minister and Congress leader V. Narayanasamy has once again criticised Congress’ erstwhile ally, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, for the INDIA bloc’s failure to fight the 2026 Assembly polls in a cohesive manner.
Participating in a protest organised by the Congress against the policies of Central government at Pathukannu village, he said there were several reasons behind the defeat of the Congress party in the polls. “To an extent, we [Congress party] ourselves have to be blamed for the defeat. But the main reason is the betrayal by our then ally, the DMK,” he said.
