In Dindigul, the party functionaries staged a protest at the Dindigul bus stand. They raised slogans condemning the arrest of Mr. Udhayanidhi. They also raised slogans and condemned the TVK-led State government.
Protesters were detained by police and later released in the evening. The protests were held across the district, including Oddanchatram, Palani and Vedasandur. Similar protests were held across Theni district.
