DMK chief Stalin accuses Tamil Nadu CM Vijay of using ‘reels’ to cover up administrative failures

DMK president M.K. Stalin on Thursday (September 9, 2026) accused Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay of posting social media reels to cover up what he described as the “inefficient administration of the government” and “cheating an entire generation”.
“There is a saying that before the truth reaches the people, a lie would have reached everyone. That is what is happening now,” Mr. Stalin said in a video released in response to the Chief Minister, who had levelled a series of allegations against the DMK and its leaders and “body-shamed” him over the police attack he suffered during the Emergency in the Assembly recently.
Addressing Mr. Vijay, the DMK leader said that Tamil Nadu is witnessing daily murders and sexual assaults against women, and that the law and order situation is in disarray.
