After the 2018 installment won Game of the Year, God of War officially returned a few years later with the critically acclaimed sequel, God of War: Ragnarok , which seemingly brought Kratos’ journey to an end. This didn’t stop fans from demanding more Kratos content, though, and it has since been confirmed that a full remake of the original God of War trilogy is in the works at Santa Monica. It’s unclear at this time when the remake will be released, but assuming that it’s still in the early stages of development, it likely won’t come out anytime in the next few years. God of War fans do have a new project coming soon to help hold them over, though, aside from the live-action TV series in development at Prime Video.
