The Coimbatore district administration has begun proceedings after the Madras High Court in a recent order directed closure of eight resorts functioning in and around Anaikatti, which lacked certain requisite approvals.
District Collector Pavankumar G. Giriyappanavar told The Hindu that the process has been initiated as per the High Court order and DTPC Act (Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act) and rules.
He said officials involved in the process have begun serving notices to the eight resorts as per proceedings.
