Discos sell-off enters next phase with submission of EOIs for Fesco

The privatization of Pakistan's electricity distribution companies (DISCOs) has reached a new milestone with the submission of 12 expressions of interest for the Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO). Investors from Turkey, China, and major Pakistani business groups are participating in the bidding process.

ISLAMABAD - The privatisation process of DISCOs has entered its next phase with the submission of expressions of interest (EOI) for Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO). On the closing date for submission of EOIs, the Privatisation Commission received 12 EOIs from prospective investors seeking to acquire 51% to 100% shareholding in FESCO, together with management control.
