Discord will soon let anyone find public server messages through Google
Discord is updating its platform to make public server content searchable via Google starting in late 2026. The update includes automated channel summaries and the ability for specific public channel messages to appear in web search results.
Why it matters
This shift significantly changes Discord's privacy model by moving from a closed-silo communication platform to an indexed, searchable web environment.
Server Web Pages live on the open web and give people a glimpse of what a Discord community is about before they join. They’ve been available to Discoverable Servers for some time, but setup takes a few steps, so not every Discoverable Server has created one. Learn more about Server Web Pages .
