Director-General of Prisons inspects Central Jail and Special Prison for Women in Tiruchi

The Director-General of Prisons in Tamil Nadu inspected the Tiruchi Central Prison to review security, prisoner welfare, and rehabilitation programs. The visit included the inauguration of a creche for children of incarcerated mothers and the recognition of prisoners' vocational achievements.

Director-General of Prisons and Correctional Services of Tamil Nadu Sandeep Rai Rathore inspected the Central Prison in Tiruchi and reviewed various activities relating to prison administration, security, prisoners’ welfare, and rehabilitation.
Mr. Rathore checked the procedure followed for the admission of prisoners and inspected the kitchen to assess food preparation practices, cleanliness, hygiene, and related arrangements. He visited the Government Industrial Training Institute functioning within the prison premises and interacted with the prisoners undergoing vocational training.
He felicitated three prisoners who scored 600 out of 600 in their ITI final examinations and presented them with certificates. He encouraged them to continue education and skill development to build a better future.
The Principal of the Government ITI and the Regional Joint Director of Employment and Training were present.
