MANILA, Philippines - Award-winning filmmaker Adolf Alix Jr. has expressed gratitude after surviving a serious pedestrian accident that he described as a near-death experience.
In a social media post shared on Tuesday, July 14, Alix revealed that he was struck by a vehicle at around 5:45 a.m. while walking along Abacan Diversion Road. According to the director, the force of the collision sent him crashing into the vehicle's windshield before he was thrown into the air and landed heavily on his right side.
"Still processing everything, but today I am just overwhelmingly grateful to be alive," Alix wrote, describing the incident as a life-changing experience.
The acclaimed filmmaker said the accident reminded him of life's fragility, adding that surviving the ordeal was nothing short of a miracle.
