NEW DELHI: The government on Thursday launched the operational guidelines for the third phase of the Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme (DILRMP 3.0), with a Rs 565.5 crore outlay for 2026-31 to build an integrated digital framework for land records, property maps and registration data.The programme aims to move beyond digitising individual land records towards an integrated land management system, Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said while launching the guidelines."Land is not just a piece of soil, it is the pride of our farmers, the blessing of our ancestors and the identity of future generations," Chouhan said, as quoted by PTI.The initiative is expected to make land and property records easier to identify, access and verify by connecting databases that are currently maintained across different government systems.What the new land records system changesUnder DILRMP 3.0, states will be able to create their own digital "land stacks" by…
