A campaign to "save" Baljinder Singh, a truck driver from Punjab's Pathankot district who has been sentenced to death by a Saudi Arabian court in a drug-related case, has intensified, with wrestler Dalip Singh Rana, alias The Great Khali, and Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh speaking up for him.Baljinder, a resident of Sujanpur, worked as a truck driver in Dubai for about 10 years and regularly transported goods between the UAE and Saudi Arabia, according to his family in a video that brought the issue into the limelight two weeks ago. The family said he has been in custody in Medina since February 6, 2024.
