LAHORE - Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Lahore Faisal Kamran took notice of delay in legal action on a citizen's complaint and ordered the suspension of an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) after the SHO of Shahdara Town failed to provide a satisfactory response. The DIG sought a video link briefing from the SHO Shahdara Town regarding the complaint and, after finding the response unsatisfactory, ordered forfeiture of one year's service of the SHO and suspension of the ASI concerned. During the open court, citizens submitted complaints related to fraud, land grabbing, family disputes and other issues. Relevant officers were directed to respond on the spot to the complaints.
