"William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet Film in Concert" will swing through Detroit's Fisher Theatre on Jan. 29, event reps announced Sept. 15. The local date is part of a global tour that kicks off Sept. 29 at the Sydney Opera House.
Tickets for the local screening start at $29 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Sept. 18 at ATGtickets.com/Detroit .
According to the tour's marketing materials, screenings will feature the film, along with "a hybrid ensemble performing the film's score and music live in sync with the full movie."
