ISLAMABAD - Pakistan believes dialogue and a negotiated settlement remain the only sustainable way to end the Iran war and prevent the conflict from expanding across the region.
Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said, stressing that Islamabad's mediation efforts are driven by its ties with all sides and its commitment to regional peace.
Speaking in an interview with Al Arabiya English's Global News , hosted by Tom Burges Watson, the DG ISPR said Pakistan's policy of multi-alignment and engagement with friendly countries had placed it in a position to facilitate dialogue as an "objective arbiter" and "honest broker" for peace.
He said Pakistan's political and military leadership had consistently maintained that mediation in a complex conflict required objectivity, neutrality and sustained engagement with all parties.
