Dharashiv MP pushes for crop loss survey and compensation for farmers in Marathwada region
Shiv Sena MP Omprakash Raje Nimbalkar has urged the Maharashtra government to conduct a survey of crop losses in the Marathwada region due to a severe rainfall deficit. He is calling for financial compensation for farmers whose soybean crops have failed.

Mr. Nimbalkar sent a letter to Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. In the letter, he said that there has been almost no rainfall in the region of Marathwada for the past 45 days. “The soybean crop has dried due to lack of water. Farmers have faced a financial loss due to this and are in trouble. The situation is serious, and surveys should be conducted through the revenue and agriculture departments to ascertain the losses. The farmers who have faced losses and are eligible should be given financial assistance,” he added.
