Actor Dhanush will be reuniting with filmmaker Vetri Maaran for an upcoming film, Thamizh Murugan , it was announced on Friday (July 10, 2026). The film will mark Dhanush and Vetri Maaran’s fifth collaboration after Polladhavan , Aadukalam , Vada Chennai , and Asuran .
The makers unveiled a first look video to make the announcement. It features visual of a battlefield where a man is riding on an elephant. He gets surrounded by people as the charged up background score builds intensity. The man’s face is not revealed as the first look teases an epic mythological film.
