Tamil Nadu Director-General of Police (DGP)/Head of Police Force Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal conducted a review meeting of the law and order situation at the Avadi Commissionerate office on Saturday.
Avadi Commissioner T. Senthil Kumar, Joint Commissioner R. Sivakumar and Deputy Commissioners participated in the meeting.
The DGP reviewed criminal cases, crimes against women and children, measures to curb the movement of narcotic substances, road accidents, and cybercrime, and action to freeze the bank accounts of fraudsters.
He also reviewed the monitoring of history-sheeters and the status of cases registered against them, the steps taken to seek cancellation of bail granted to the accused in important cases, execution of warrants, action taken on petitions received from the public, foot patrols, and the formation of village-level vigilance and awareness committees.
