DGP inaugurates Cybercrime Coordination Centre in Vijayawada
DGP Harish Kumar Gupta inaugurated a new Cybercrime Coordination Centre in Vijayawada to bolster the state's response to digital offenses. The initiative includes the creation of a cyber war room and specialized training for police personnel.

Director-General of Police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta inaugurated the Cybercrime Coordination Centre at the Krishnalanka police station here on Wednesday.
The DGP, along with NTR Police Commissioner S.V. Rajasekhar Babu, also inaugurated the cyber radar wing and a cyber laboratory.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Gupta said the police would set up a cyber war room and were proposing to introduce a cyber guard policy in the State.
The police were also working to improve technology and training and create awareness among the public to prevent cyber offences, he said.
“We are planning to impart cybercrime training to police constables and deploy 20 cyber constables in each district,” Mr. Gupta said.
