NEW DELHI: The ministry of civil aviation (MoCA) said on Sunday that a team from aviation regulator, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), is being sent to Maharashtra’s Baramati airfield, where a Cessna training aircraft was involved in a runway excursion earlier in the day.“The air safety team from the DGCA is going to the site to conduct a preliminary investigation and ascertain the circumstances and contributing factors leading to the incident,” the ministry statement read.MoCA further noted that the plane appeared to have sustained damage to its propeller, engine cowling and nose landing gear, while no fatalities or injuries were reported.“There were no injuries or fatalities reported.
