Deworming tablets to be distributed from August 10
The Perambalur district administration will launch a National Deworming Day programme from August 10 to 17 to distribute Albandezole tablets to children and women. The initiative aims to improve public health by targeting specific age groups through schools, colleges, and anganwadis.

Mass deworming programs are essential public health interventions to reduce parasitic infections and improve nutritional outcomes in developing regions.
Medicines will be administered to 1,72,960 children and adolescents in the age group of one to 19 and 45,034 women (except pregnant and lactating women) as part of the National Deworming Day programme in Perambalur district from August 10 to 17.
