T he recent summer instalment of the Vhi 360 Hot Topics webinar series looked at the topical issue of dermatological conditions in people with skin of colour (SOC). The webinar covered a variety of topics including differentiation between normal (European) pigmentary variations and clinically significant dermatological pathology in SOC as well as recognising dermatological presentations that require urgent referral.
Dr Rupert Barry , Consultant Dermatologist at St James’s Hospital, and one of the presenters on the evening, summed up the relevance of this topic in current Irish medical practice.
