One of the Tampa Bay area's most expensive homes, once owned by former baseball star Derek Jeter, has become a puzzle. Derek Jeter's estate at 58 Bahama Circle stands exactly as it did when Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen vacated it five years ago, except now it is owned by a cryptocurrency trust and no one is living there. In 2022, construction crews were meant to tear down the mansion and build something bigger in its place. The home is still standing untouched, and its future is as unclear as its ownership.The waterfront mansion had many ownersLong before it became one of Tampa's most exclusive celebrity homes, 58 Bahama Circle consisted of independent waterfront lots on Davis Island. Derek Jeter’s company acquired three adjoining lots in 2005 and 2006 for about $7.7 million, according to a report by Mansion Global.
