Presiding over a peace committee meeting on Wednesday, which brought together community leaders, prominent religious figures, and officers from various government departments, the Deputy Commissioner emphasised the need for communal unity throughout the celebrations.
Mr. Pandve announced that any organisation, group, or individual intending to install a public Ganesh idol must obtain prior permission through a single-window system set up by the administration.
To ensure safety and order from the installation to the immersion of idols, the administration and law enforcement, led by Mr. Pandve and Superintendent of Police Pruthvik Shankar, discussed the guidelines established by the State government.
Organisers must submit personal identification documents for at least five committee members alongside their permission application.
