Dental technology hub inaugurated at AMTZ

A new dental technology hub called Dentic World has been inaugurated at the Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone in Visakhapatnam. The facility aims to boost domestic medical device manufacturing and reduce reliance on imports through collaborative research and development.

Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers, Manoj Joshi, inaugurated Dentic World, a dental technology hub, at the Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ) in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday.
During his visit, Mr. Joshi held a round-table meeting with AMTZ managing director and founder CEO Jitendra Sharma and heads of manufacturing units. The discussions focused on strengthening domestic medical device manufacturing, expanding testing and validation capabilities, improving access to critical raw materials and components, and reducing import dependence.
The visit marked an MoU between AMTZ and Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre for collaboration in radiopharmaceuticals, radiochemistry and oncology research, combining AMTZ’s Techtron infrastructure with the hospital’s oncology research and clinical expertise.
