PESHAWAR - Dengue cases have declined significantly across Peshawar Division this year following intensified preventive measures, officials told a high-level review meeting chaired by Commissioner Peshawar Division Riaz Khan Mehsud on Sunday.
The meeting, held to review the implementation of the Dengue Action Plan 2026, was attended by deputy commissioners, district health officers, entomologists, local government representatives, health officials and relevant departments from Peshawar, Nowshera, Charsadda, Khyber and Mohmand districts.
Participants reviewed the current dengue situation in the five districts, disease surveillance activities, indoor and outdoor larval monitoring, hospital preparedness, availability of medicines and equipment, anti-dengue spraying campaigns, public awareness initiatives and coordination among government departments.
