Dengue breeding grounds uncovered
Health authorities in Rawalpindi have identified numerous dengue mosquito breeding sites following extensive surveillance. Despite the high larval activity, no hospital admissions or deaths have been reported so far this year.

However, no active dengue-related hospital admissions or deaths have been reported in the district during the first week of September.
According to surveillance data released by health authorities on Monday, only six confirmed dengue cases have been reported in Rawalpindi this year, all in July.
The highest larval activity was detected in UC Girja, Gulistan Colony and Rahimabad, while breeding sites were also found in UC Morgah, Dhoke Mangtal, UC Kulyal, CTR-10 Kamalabad, CTC-8 Dheri Hasanabad, Chak Jalaldin, UC Chaklala and other areas.
