A 32-year-old motorist was killed in a hit-and-run case involving a container truck on Poonamallee High Road near Vanagaram on Saturday (September 19, 2026) night.
A senior official of the Avadi police Commissionerate said V. Dileep, who was a resident of Lakshmi Nagar in Alapakkam near Maduravoyal, was working as a delivery agent for a private online delivery company.
On Saturday (September 19, 2026) night Mr. Dileep was returning home after delivering a parcel at around 11.30 p.m. on the Poonamallee High Road on his two-wheeler when an unidentified container truck moving in the same direction rear-ended the motorist and drove away.
