Delhi govt. to repeal B&B law, table 3 Bills, 2 CAG reports in Monsoon Session

The Delhi government is set to table a Bill in the upcoming Monsoon Session to repeal the existing law governing the functioning of bed-and-breakfast (B&B) facilities — ‘The National Capital Territory of Delhi (Incredible India) Bed and Breakfast Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2007’ — two months after the fire at a one such facility in Malviya Nagar killed 23 people, including several foreigners.
Making the announcement on Wednesday, Speaker Vijender Gupta said the Assembly’s Business Advisory Committee had decided to table the Bill to repeal the 2007 Act in the four-day session starting on Friday.
The committee has also decided to table two other Bills — the Delhi (Right of Citizen to Time Bound and Ease of Delivery of Service) Bill, 2026 and a Bill to amend the existing Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board Act, 2010.
