Delhi draft electoral roll: names flagged for 11 ‘logical discrepancies’
The Election Commission of India has flagged over 1.9 million voters in Delhi for 'logical discrepancies' in the draft electoral roll, triggering a massive verification drive. Officials are investigating anomalies such as age gaps and parent-child linkage errors before the final roll is published in November.

Over a third of the electorate included in Delhi’s newly published draft roll is being served notices to verify documents and attend hearings. The massive verification drive is part of the ongoing special intensive revision (SIR) of the electoral roll, which was published on August 31.
The Election Commission’s software flagged 19.33 lakh electors for 11 different “logical discrepancies” or anomalies, forming the bulk of the 33.1 lakh total voters facing scrutiny. Out of a total electorate of 1.45 crore registered voters in Delhi, the draft electoral roll currently has around 97.5 lakh voters whose enumeration forms were successfully digitised. The drive also left over 13.79 lakh “unmapped” electors on the draft roll facing notices for lacking mapping details from previous rolls.
