NEW DELHI: A 17-year-old juvenile was apprehended after a group allegedly attacked three policemen with bricks and sticks and threw chilli powder into their eyes while they were performing patrolling duty in northwest Delhi’s Mukundpur area on Saturday, police said. One of the policemen suffered a head injury.The incident took place around 3.30pm in Janta Vihar under Bhalswa Dairy police station. According to police, head constables Dinesh and Rajesh were patrolling the area when they found a motorcycle without valid documents. The vehicle was taken to the police station for deposition under Section 66 of the Delhi Police Act.“Around 3.30pm, when the policemen returned to their beat, a group including the motorcycle owner and his family members allegedly confronted them over the police action. The group turned violent and allegedly threw chilli powder into the policemen’s eyes before assaulting them with bricks and sticks.
