Delhi chief minister Rekha Gupta has sought Rs 100 crore in central assistance for the first phase of the Pradhan Mantri Unauthorised Colonies in Delhi Awas Adhikar Yojana (PM-UDAY), a scheme aimed at granting property rights to residents of 1,511 unauthorised colonies across the national capital.In a letter to Union housing and urban affairs minister Manohar Lal, Gupta said the Revenue Department, the nodal agency for implementing the scheme, will establish dedicated PM-UDAY cells in all 13 districts of Delhi.
